7-year-old Syrian girl protects brother from earthquake rubble for 36 hours

A valiant young lady in Syria was found safeguarding her more youthful brother’s head from rubble after their home fell in the deadly quake that struck their nation and Turkey this week, tragic video showed Wednesday.

Heros spotted 7-year-old Mariam, and her brother, Ilaaf, whose age is obscure, under a chunk of cement close to the town of Haram — where they had been caught for over a day and a half.

“Get me out of here, I’ll do anything for you,” the big sister can be heard telling a crisis responder in the recording.

A video later showed the youngsters diverted in covers by heros and afterward sitting securely on a bed. They were purportedly taken to an emergency clinic.

Their dad, Mustafa Zuhir Al-Sayed, said he, his better half and three kids were dozing early Monday while the staggering 7.8-greatness shudder struck.

“We felt the ground shaking … and rubble started falling over our head, and we remained two days under the rubble,” he said.
