Well-known actor Adam Rich recently passed away on January 7 at the age of 54. He was popular for his appearances in various television shows and movies. Actress and writer Mary Elizabeth McDonough, who had known Rich for a long time, paid tribute to him on Facebook:

“We are all together on a ski trip. I think Melissa and I are doing the bunny ears. We have a special bond as child actors. We all go through a lot growing up in front of the world. It is a special experience and of which we can only understand parts. I am saddened to hear this news. I hope you’re flying with the angels, Adam.”

“He was the quintessential child star and he had many public brushes with addiction and fought very hard throughout his life to stay sober, slipping from time to time. Adam’s television father was Dick Van Patton, who took the role of father to Adam very seriously, guiding Adam and helping him through the lowest moments of his life.
