A 26-year-old man, identified as Joseph Fernandez, was taken into custody following an incident in which he allegedly shot and killed another man, San Antonio police confirmed.
The fatal shooting occurred during a heated argument between the two individuals. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning at a residence located in the 5000 block of Middlefield Drive on the southwest side.
Who is Joseph Fernandez?
Jose Fernandez is 26 years old. He lives in San Antonio. Fernández was arrested after he shot a man during a heated argument. According to police records, when Joseph Fernández got there, he and the victim got into a fight. The name of the victim in the case has not yet been released. According to SAPD, Fernandez drew a gun during the argument, shot the man multiple times, and then fled the scene. Officers arrived and found the victim died of gunshot wounds.
During the course of the investigation, officers successfully identified the suspect involved in the incident. Shortly after the incident occurred, officers located and detained the individual listed as a suspect. The suspect was subsequently arrested and booked on murder charges.
He is currently being held in the Bexar County Jail. Bexar County court records show Fernandez’s bond was set at $100,000.
Meanwhile, another shooting occurred at a bar in Gary, Indiana. The incident claimed the life of an individual and three people were reportedly injured.
Police have confirmed that a 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting. In addition, three other people suffered gunshot wounds and were injured. The injured victims, two men and a woman in their thirties were taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The investigation of the case is still open.
