Marvin Gaye’s son, Marvin Gaye III, was reportedly arrested on January 13 after threatening his wife Wendy and her cousin. According to TMZ, he was arguing with the two about a previous assault when things escalated, leading him to pull the gun on him.
When the officers arrived at the residence, they initially thought he was in the house and asked him to come out. It was then that the neighbors informed them that shortly after the argument, Marvin Gaye III went on the run in his car.
According to TMZ, officials also later recovered two firearms from his residence.
Marvin finally surrendered at the sheriff’s station and was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and felony assault with a deadly weapon. He has already been released on $50,000 bail and ordered to stay away from his family members.
TMZ also reported that sources close to the parties involved said Marvin physically assaulted both his wife and his cousin during their argument.
Marvin Gaye was the father of three children.

Not much is known about Frankie Gaye, other than that he wrote a letter to his brothers to clear up doubts about the lawsuits against Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams’ Blurred Lines single. The lawsuit claimed that Robin and Pharrell’s single was a copy of Marvin’s Got to Give It Up.
