Mike Tagliere, the fantasy football analyst and writer for FantasyPros, died Saturday after a long battle with COVID-19. He was 39 years old. Tagliere announced on Twitter on August 9 that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and had severe symptoms despite being fully vaccinated. His passing was announced on Twitter by his wife, Tabbie.
In its own statement, FantasyPros called Tagliere a “loving husband and father, an unsurpassed fantasy football analyst, and most importantly a wonderful and kind person.” The site has launched a GoFundMe for his family, which has raised more than $ 90,000 from Tagliere readers in three hours, plus a direct donation of $ 100,000 from FantasyPros.
Tagliere has been writing on FantasyPros since 2017, previously writing for two years on PFF Fantasy. He appeared regularly on various fantasy podcasts and hosted his own podcast for FantasyPros with Kyle Yates and Dan Harris.
“Mike ended the first email from him with the following: ‘While I was once a realist, now I am a dreamer,'” wrote Mike Clay, an ESPN NFL analyst who worked with Tagliere on PFF Fantasy. “There is a lot we can learn from Mike and one of those lessons is to follow your dreams and pursue your passions. It’s a shining, shining example of what you can achieve. ”

On September 24, 2021, Mike “Tags” Tagliere passed away after a long battle with COVID-19.
Tags was a loving husband and father, an unrivaled fantasy football analyst, and most importantly, a wonderful and kind person. He was the heart and soul of FantasyPros and loved by the fantasy football community, his industry colleagues, and his co-workers. Everyone who knew him is devastated.
This fundraiser is designed to help support Tabbie (Mike’s wife) and her children, Alyssa (18) and Jonathan (4).
