Ronda Clay Spinello Jung is the second wife of former drug smuggler George Jung. George died Wednesday morning May 5th, 2021 at home in the Boston area. The cause of death is currently not known, though he had recently been experiencing liver and kidney failure.

George Currently was living with his second wife, Ronda Clay Spinello Jung Although he was arrested in 2016 for parole violation and spent a few months in prison, he has been a free man since the 3rd of July, 2017. He has several entertainment and documentary programs made about him, including a 2001 lm titled Blow, wherein actor Johnny Depp portrayed him.

Even though it’s not clear when the two became life partners, it is believed that George married her as she bears his surname, Jung. They lived together and were parents to Ronda’s daughter from a previous relationship; her name is Clara Pearson.

People got to know that George is married to Ronda in 2016 after he was arrested for a parole violation. She had petitioned Barack Obama through Change.org, asking for a presidential pardon for George. She had her name in the petition as “Ronda Clay Spinello Jung” which suggests she was already married to the former drug trafficker at that point.

According to the petition, George Jung has been having a hard time and had violated his parole because he had to travel to San Diego to work and earn some money so he could survive financially.

George was married to his first wife Mirtha Jung. She met George through his cocaine contacts in Colombia. She was just 24 years old then and 10 years younger than George. They dated each other for a few years before getting married in 1977. She gave birth to her daughter, Kristina Sunshine Jung, on August 1, 1978.

Mirtha loved George dearly, but their relationship soured a few years after their marriage. Their drug-related lives ruined their marriage. They divorced soon after. Following the divorce, George married Ronda Clay Spinello. It is not known if Mirtha remarried or found another partner after her divorce. George lives with Ronda in San Diego.

Mirtha raised Kristina single-handedly. Kristina is now married to Romain Karan and is blessed with two children.

George Jung Cause of Death

George Jung, the cocaine smuggler whose life-of-crime story became the basis for the Johnny Depp film “Blow,” has died. He was 78 years old. TMZ was the first to report that Jung died at his home in the Boston area. He had been experiencing liver and kidney failure and had been in-home hospice care, but his cause of death has not been released.

Jung’s official Instagram page confirmed his death in his hometown of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Jung’s official Twitter account featured the quote “May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.”

Jung, known as “Boston George,” served 20 years in prison for drug running. He was released in 2014 but then was back in jail for violating parole two years later, for not telling his parole officer he had traveled to San Diego.

He was part of the Medellin Cartel, helping Pablo Escobar smuggle cocaine into the U.S.

Jung recounted his exploits in the book “Blow: How a Small-Town Boy Made $100 Million with the Medellin Cartel and Lost It All,” written by Bruce Porter and which was the inspiration for the 2001 Depp film.

A five-part docuseries recently finished post-production and was picked up by a distributor, Yahoo News reported. No release date has been announced for “Boston George: Famous Without The Fortune.”
