Political commentator and YouTuber Steven Crowder, 35, has revealed that he and his wife, Hilary, 36, are getting divorced after a decade of marriage. Crowder made the announcement Tuesday during an episode of his podcast, Louder with Crowder. The online personality explained that Hilary filed for divorce sometime in 2021.
“I’ve been living with the proverbial boot on my neck for years,” Crowder said. “Since 2021, I have been living through what has increasingly been a horrendous divorce.” Crowder made it clear that his marriage ended for reasons related to natural separation, rather than infidelity or abuse.

‘And no, this was not my choice,’ he added. “My then-wife decided that she didn’t want to be married anymore and in the state of Texas, that’s completely allowed.” Crowder called it the most heartbreaking experience of his life and calls the divorce his “deepest personal failure.”
Steven Crowder is an American-Canadian conservative political commentator, media host, and comedian. He is also a former Fox News contributor.
Crowder is best known for his recurring segment on his podcast called ‘Change My Mind’ and a larger YouTube channel, where he has 6 million subscribers to his podcast and 1.21 million to his secondary channel Crowder Bits.
The commentator is estimated to be worth $20 million. His YouTube channel reportedly brings him $80,000 a month in ad revenue and viewership. He said he and his ex-wife Hilary decided to keep the divorce issue private for the safety of their two children.
‘In all of this, one thing I want to make very clear is true. The true north here is that my children are blameless, completely blameless, so we decided to resolve these issues in private as it is in their best interest, both emotionally and physically.’
It’s not yet clear if the divorce is final, but Crowder says it’s been an issue he’s been dealing with for “years.” “I loved a woman so much that I married her,” Crowder said. ‘A woman that, despite all this, I still love as the mother of my children and she wanted something more for her life.

“That’s not my choice, she just wanted out and the law says that’s how it works.” The couple got married on August 25, 2012, after three months of engagement. They have since welcomed twins, Magnus and Charlotte, in August 2021.
Previously, they announced their engagement in March of the same year. The podcaster revealed via FOX News: ‘Our wedding was perfect. Our wedding night was amazing.
‘Do you feel judged? I couldn’t care less. Do you know why? Because my wife and I were judged throughout our entire relationship. ‘People laughed, jeered, and mocked the young, celibate, and naive Christian couple.
“We certainly would never make it to the wedding without schtupping, and if we did, our ‘wedding night would be awkward and terrible,’ they said. ‘Turns out, people couldn’t have been more wrong.’
Crowder has faced criticism for his YouTube channel multiple times and was banned from YouTube’s partner program for a year, meaning he couldn’t monetize his videos.
His account was then reinstated in 2020.
