Yella Beezy is an American rapper from Dallas, Texas. She is best known for the singles “That On Me”, “Bacc at It Again”, “Up One” and “Goin Through Some Thangs”. Conway began writing song lyrics and rapping at the age of 13. She was inspired by artists like Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates. At the age of 14 she released her first mixtape, Mash Mode Overload. In 2012, she released her second mixtape, Lil Yella Mane. Conway’s first hit single came in 2015 with “Trap in Designer” from her mixtape Broke Nights Rich Days.
In 2017, Yella Beezy released her mixtape Lite Work, Vol. 2. She featured the song “That’s On Me,” which peaked at No. 56 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also led to Yella Beezy signing with Chris Turner (A&R) for the seal of LA Reid, Hitco.
In 2018, she released the mixtape Ain’t No Goin Bacc. It included the hits “What I Did” (with Kevin Gates), “Up One” (with Lil Baby) and a remixed version of “That’s On Me” (with 2 Chainz, T.I. and Boosie Badazz). That same year, Yella Beezy began to gain fame by opening for Jay-Z and Beyoncé in Dallas and Houston during the On the Run II Tour.
In 2019, the Baccend Beezy mixtape was Yella Beezy’s first mixtape to be released under her Hitco label. The mixtape featured the hit singles “Bacc At It Again” (featuring Quavo and Gucci Mane) and “Restroom Occupied” (featuring Chris Brown).
She appeared on the single “Hit Yo Dance” by Eritrean model Rubi Rose with NLE Choppa.

Yella Beezy busted on weapons and drug charges in Texas
Markies Deandre Conway, better known as recording artist Yella Beezy, was arrested in Texas for misdemeanor gun and drug offenses on Wednesday, TMZ reports. The “That’s on Me” rapper was also arrested on weapons charges in February, which he reportedly claimed was a setup. On Tuesday night, he posted a video of police searching for a van on social media.
“They remain fwm,” he captioned that footage. That’s short for “f – k with me.”
When Yella Beezy was pulled over in Dallas earlier this year, he said police said they smelled marijuana but found nothing in his vehicle. They found a gun. His manager said all of the 29-year-old Dallas native’s weapons are registered. The Dallas Morning News reported in October 2018 that Yella Beezy had been shot three while driving through Lewisville, Texas. Police said more than a dozen shots were fired at his vehicle.
